Youth and Children

Underscoring the importance of involving the next generation in the solution of water issues, two fora were held in conjunction with the 5^th World Water Forum, for children and youth. The Children’s World Water Forum, held from March 12^th to 17^th, welcomed 135 children from 21 countries, who discussed and agreed on the Children’s Declaration. More than 200 young people from all over the world who attended the Youth World Water Forum agreed on the Youth Declaration, which was read out during the Forum’s closing ceremony.
